Purchasing/Downloading Add-Ons on Store

So, you've come to Add-On Store to get assets, there are some things you should know. Add-On Store keeps information about your role , all add-ons that you get or give ( publish for others), and other related data. This information is required, for example, to keep you informed about new versions of add-ons that you use, or to display additional tools (e.g. if you're a publisher or a company administrator). The first thing you should do before you can get any add-on is to log in.

Add-ons can be free or paid, they can be available or unavailable for purchase as well as already purchased by you or your colleagues. Therefore you can see add-ons with different statuses:

Add-on library with different add-on statuses

  1. Unavailable — add-on that is not available for your current license. You can't purchase such add-ons until you upgrade to the appropriate license.
  2. Free — add-on that you can purchase without paying (simply download).
  3. Purchased — add-on that you have already purchased recently.
  4. Obtained — add-on that is free to download because your colleagues have already purchased it.

Finding Add-On

Add-On Store can contain hundreds of add-ons. It can be extremely difficult to find the one you want without special instruments. UNIGINE Add-On Store provides tools to help organize and find what you need.

There are tools to help you find add-ons you need. There are three ways for targeting search:

  1. By categories
  2. By filters
  3. By search box

You can use them individually or in combination with each other.

Using Categories

You can choose the most suitable category for your add-on search. For example, if you want to find some specific material for your project choose the Textures & Materials category to narrow down the list of add-ons presented.

There is a restriction by add-on category to simplify the search of the add-on you need. You should choose the category in the menu of add-on categories similar to the group of the add-on you are interested in. It narrows down a list of add-ons and displays them on the screen. The following add-on categories are available: 3D models, textures and materials, plugins, visual effects (VFX), templates, and tutorials. If you select All categories you see a complete set of available add-ons.

Using Filters

Sidebar filter menu

Sometimes it is not enough to just use a category search to find an add-on. For example, you need to find an add-on that is supported in the 2.17 SDK version with Sim edition on Windows for your project.

For more relevant results  you can use filters on the right sidebar. Filters enable you to choose certain parameters for filtering:

  • Price
  • Rating
  • Supported SDK version
  • Product edition
  • OS
  • Source code

Additionally, you can use tags to narrow down the scope even more. Tags are created for each add-on by its publisher and briefly reflect the main idea of the add-on.

You can drop all filters using the Clear filters button.

You can also use keywords to find add-ons you need, just type them in the search field and press Enter — the list of add-ons containing these keywords will be shown.

This word can be found in the add-on title as well as in its description, or in the supported file title from the package. In either case, all add-ons matching the search criteria will be displayed as a list of cards.

Obtaining Free Add-Ons

You can obtain a free add-on in either of the following ways:

  • Clicking the shopping cart icon of the desired add-on card:

On success, you'll see the following message:

  • Clicking Get for free in the add-on quick-look pop-up window or the window providing full details:

Get for free button in the pop-up window

Choose the add-on by clicking on the appropriate box or select all of them by clicking ALL. Then click Confirm refund to start the refund process.

  • You can make a particular refund, i.e. you can refund just one add-on from an order containing multiple add-ons.
  • The order refund is performed in the same way as the payment, i.e. you will receive the refund to the same bank account that was used for purchasing (according to the bank card details you filled out at the payment checkout).

If all conditions are met, you will see a page with notification about the success result. Please note that processing a transaction may take some time. In case of any problems with funds receipt, please, contact Xsolla via help.xsolla.com .
